La réglementation impose un volume maximal de 3 litres, avec une pièce moulée monobloc et un tube perforé de 23 mm.
Malgré ces contraintes strictes, nous avons pu, grâce à l'expérience acquise dans les catégories 1 et 2, fabriquer un silencieux d'admission présentant des caractéristiques et des performances très intéressantes.
Le raccord en caoutchouc qui relie le carburateur au silencieux d'admission a été spécialement développé pour le carburateur Dell'Orto PHBG 18 mm. L'ensemble permet un flux d'air très propre et sans turbulence.
Grâce à sa conception, l'entrée d'air du carburateur se trouve dans le corps du silencieux.
Le tuyau d'admission présente une forme conique extrêmement prononcée et son orifice d'entrée favorise l'entrée de l'air à plus grande vitesse.
Cette caractéristique génère une légère surpression à haute vitesse tout en garantissant un débit de carburant plus important à basse vitesse lors de l'accélération.
Pour une utilisation sous la pluie, une housse anti-pluie à fermeture rapide a été conçue, qui permet néanmoins de conserver des performances élevées.
