Die Verordnung schreibt ein maximales Volumen von 3 Litern mit einem einteiligen Formteil und einem 23-mm-Lochrohr vor.
Trotz dieser restriktiven Einschränkungen konnten wir dank der Erfahrung der Kategorien 1 und 2 einen Ansaugschalldämpfer mit sehr interessanten Merkmalen und Leistungen herstellen.
Die Gummiverbindung, die den Vergaser mit dem Ansaugschalldämpfer verbindet, wurde speziell für den Dell'Orto PHBG 18 mm Vergaser entwickelt. Die Baugruppe ermöglicht einen sehr sauberen und turbulenzfreien Luftstrom.
Dank des Designs befindet sich der Lufteinlass des Vergasers im Geräuschfilterkörper.
Das Ansaugrohr hat eine extrem akzentuierte konische Form und sein Lufteinlass unterstützt den Lufteintritt mit höherer Geschwindigkeit.
Diese Funktion erzeugt bei hoher Geschwindigkeit einen leichten Überdruck und garantiert gleichzeitig einen größeren Kraftstofffluss bei niedriger Geschwindigkeit während des Beschleunigens.
Für den Einsatz bei Regen wurde eine Schnellverschluss-Regenhülle hergestellt, die dennoch eine hohe Leistung ermöglicht.
