Le Tillotson HW-49A est un carburateur à membrane spécifique d'un diamètre de 24 mm, principalement conçu pour les catégories de karting OK-N et OK-N Junior. Contrairement aux carburateurs à chambre à flotteur, son système à membrane lui permet de fonctionner dans n'importe quelle orientation, ce qui le rend idéal pour les applications de karting.

  • Type : carburateur à membrane avec papillon des gaz (au lieu d'une soupape à pointeau).
  • Application : principalement utilisé dans les catégories de karting OK-N et OK-N Junior (OKN-J).
  • Diamètre : dispose d'un diamètre Venturi de 24 mm.
  • Fonctionnement : l'alimentation en carburant est contrôlée par une pompe à carburant et un système de dosage à deux membranes afin de garantir un approvisionnement régulier en carburant, quelle que soit l'orientation.
  • Réglage : dispose de vis de réglage séparées pour le ralenti (LO-Speed) et les régimes élevés (HI-Speed). Le réglage d'usine pour le démarrage est généralement de 2,5 tours pour LO et de 2 tours pour HI.
  • Pression de décharge : la pression de décharge d'usine est proche de 80 kPa, mais elle peut être ajustée aux conditions spécifiques du moteur et de l'environnement en remplaçant le ressort d'admission.
