Les pompes à essence à membrane MIKUNI peuvent être utilisées sur les moteurs à quatre temps et à deux temps. Elles sont entraînées par les impulsions générées automatiquement par les pistons des moteurs.
Ces pompes assurent un débit de carburant constant et régulier du réservoir vers
le carburateur. En général, ces pompes sont utilisées sur les véhicules soumis à des forces d'accélération
et centrifuges élevées, ou lorsque le réservoir est situé en dessous du carburateur.
Lors de l'utilisation de pompes à essence, il est impératif d'ajuster
le siège de la soupape à pointeau du flotteur. L'utilisation d'un siège de soupape à pointeau plus petit garantit l'étanchéité
face à la pression accrue de la pompe.
