The filter cartridge used in the active noise filter is made of polyester and can be cleaned with solvents, gasoline, and compressed air.
This cartridge filters out particles larger than 10 µm (10 thousandths of a millimeter) and is considered the best compromise between airflow and air purification.
The 10µm rating also allows for the filtration of contaminants from the front brake system: these contaminants typically range from 15µm to 30µm and are known to be highly corrosive to the engine’s internal components.
The new cartridge features a lamellar barrier to modify the airflow and reduce turbulence inside the airbox.
The new intake pipes provide a better Venturi effect with improved performance.
