Application

  • Radial shaft seal ring DIN 3760 - Type AS with additional sealing lip - Material NBR & PTFE
  • Used to seal low-viscosity fluids on rotating machine parts
  • Type AS - rubber-elastic outer jacket with additional dust-sealing lip
  • The use of the PTFE sealing lip minimizes power loss (friction loss). The seal is suitable for sliding speeds up to 20 m/s and pressures up to 30 bar; the operating temperature range is -30 °C to +200 °C

Description

  • Consists essentially of a rubber component, a stiffening plate, and a torsion spring made of spring steel
  • Type AS consists of a rubber-elastic outer jacket with an additional dust lip to protect against dirt and corrosion
  • Good compensation for high surface roughness or thermal expansion
  • Prevents housing damage when replacing the shaft seal
